There are many ways to consider when traveling to Fort Jackson, SC for whatever reason you might be coming. The first option that everyone has is to fly into the Columbia South Carolina airport. Depending on where you are coming from, you may want to minimize the different airports they take. Reason for this is very simple and the smaller airports that you may fly in to wind up costing much more money than the larger more international airports. Therefore, you may want to consider flying into the Charlotte, North Carolina airport, which is an international airport that will allow you cheaper airfare. The second airport that you can plan to is the Columbia, South Carolina airport. If you plan to do so, plan to increase your airfare by about 20%. The reason that this is because you will have to probably commute from the larger airports such as Atlanta or Charlotte airports in order to get to Columbia. Mainly only small planes fly and Columbia, South Carolina because it is a small city with a small airport. If you have a little bit of extra cash, the 20% fare increase will not be that big of a deal and you’ll probably be able to rent a car and be accurate for Jackson destination within 30 minutes.

If you are on a budget, it is best to consider the Charlotte option and try and get a cheap car rental when you arrive at the airport. You can also make reservations online at a variety of websites before traveling, which can help you minimize any extra expenses want to ride. Remember reservations for hotels and any type of rental cars will save you a lot of headaches whenever you arrive, not to mention the extra funds that you can use for food or extracurricular activities while you’re on vacation.

It is not recommended that you consider these Atlanta international Airport because it would take you around 3 1/2 hours to drive from the airport all the way to Fort Jackson. The time you rent a car and pay for the extra guess, you would have been better off flying into the Columbia airport.
